20 Down, 20 to go!

Well we have offficially made it to the half way point! We had our 20 week doctor appointment today and everything is going great. There was no problem hearing the heartbeat and she said everything looks fabulous with the baby. We go back in another 4 weeks, at the end of May.

We had a wonderful time in the Bahamas. It was very relaxing lounging by the pool all day, and the baby loved it too because it was moving around more than ever! It really is amazing to feel the baby moving and it's happening more and more frequently.

It was very exciting last night, as we were laying in bed the baby started moving around quite a bit, so I decided to see if I could feel it with my hand, and what do you know, I did! So I quick had Ryan put his hand on my stomach, and we were both able to feel the baby kicking!! It was crazy to feel this bulge coming out of my stomach! I can't wait for it to happen more. :)

19 Weeks - Almost half way done!

We had our "big" ultrasound today where they measured every bone, the heart, and the brain. It was really amazing to see how big the baby has gotten and to watch him/her move around so much in my belly. One second the baby would be laying on his/her back and shoving its fists into its mouth, and the next, it was flipped over onto its stomach and all we could see was his/her back. While the technician was poking and prodding to get the baby to move into a good place, I definitely felt a lot of movement. I have been feeling more and more each week and I can't wait to start feeling the kicks! Everything was measuring normal and the baby is weighing in at a whopping 11 ounces. We go back to the doctor on the 30th and I'm sure she'll go over the whole ultrasound with us then.

We're headed off to some much needed R&R in the Bahamas this week for my spring break. Our last vacation alone before the baby comes!

open mouth looking for that hand!

17 Weeks

We had a doctor's appointment tonight, and the baby decided to give us a scare! When the doctor went to listen to the heartbeat, she couldn't find it. I think she saw the panic on my face so she started explaining how the machine they use isn't fabulous and there's a lot of static, etc, etc. She moved it down lower and we were able to hear a very faint heartbeat which she said is probably because of the positioning of the baby. Hopefully next time it will be a lot clearer! We go on the 18th for our next ultrasound. This would be when we can find out the sex, but unless it happens by accident, we're still planning on keeping it a surprise. We have come up with a list of names, but haven't totally narrowed it down yet. For girls we are thinking Madison or Lily and for boys we are between Carter, Brendan, Cooper, and Hunter. Let us know what you think!

17 weeks and looking large :)
