29 Weeks

We have been very busy these past few days! Ryan spent all day Saturday cleaning out the baby's room and on Sunday we hung up the border that came with the baby's furniture. It took a long time and wasn't the easiest thing to do, but I love how it looks.

Monday night Amy and Chris came over for dinner with Madelyn. Spending time with them definitely put Ryan at ease! He willingly held Madelyn for probably the first time!! Bailey played with her a lot and loved her because she fed Bailey chips and cheerios and anything else she was eating for dinner. :)

We had our check-up at the doctor's on Tuesday. Dr. Amerson said everything is looking great. The baby is laying very low and across my belly which she said is good because that means there is plenty of room up top for the baby to grow into. The heartbeat sounded nice and strong as usual. She told me I can keep up my exercise routine and she suggests adding a lot of stretching into it so my muscles stay nice and relaxed.

Tuesday night we celebrated our 2nd anniversary! Ryan and I went back to Berta's Chateau, where we went for our first anniversary, and enjoyed a lovely 5 course meal. Everything was delicious! I'm sure we'll go back for next year's anniversary as well.

The baby furniture came today!!!!!!!!! I don't think I have left the room since it's been all set up. I love, love, love it! Everything looks exactly how I pictured it and it makes me realize just how quickly this little baby will be here. I can't wait to continue decorating the room. We still have to hang the mirror and a few other things I have for the walls. I've been sitting in the glider all day breaking it in for us. :) Bailey is less than thrilled about all of these changes. I think she can sense something big is coming and she showed her disapproval by taking a poo in the nursery. She's marking her territory already! We're going to have to work on that. We're off to the Outer Banks on Friday with my family. I'm going for 2 weeks and Ryan is going for 1. I head back to the doctor's the Tuesday after I get back, so look for another post then!

Summer!

Last weekend we had an HHS reunion at my house. Maggi, Ward, Hill, and Jules all came for a visit because we had lots to celebrate. It was the first time we all got to see Maggi's gorgeous engagement ring!! And they were shocked to see and feel my belly! We had a great time catching up and laying by the pool. They were all nice enough to stay in the pool with me until we started pruning. We had a fabulous lobster dinner at Don Pepe, and the girls all got to enjoy the Sangria! The biggest surprise of the weekend was the Kate Spade diaper bag they gave me!!! It's gorgeous! I'm happy to say my baby's diapers will be changed in style. Thanks for coming girls. I can't wait to do it again! :)

Of course Bailey had to get in on the action. She thought the present was a fancy new dog collar for her. She definitely loved the attention all weekend. Bails wants to know if Jules will come back and play with her.

On Sunday Meghan picked me up for a day trip to West Chester to wish the old man a happy father's day. It was nice to hang out for the day and BBQ at home. My dad is definitely in full retirement mode!

School finished on Tuesday - yay!!!! A coworker had a pool party after school Tuesday and I don't think I have ever seen my feet and ankles so swollen! They looked like they would pop if you stuck a pin in them. Luckily all it takes is some relaxing on the couch for the swelling to go down. Before I was officially done for the summer I took a CPR/First Aid course through school. I thought it was a good idea to learn how to save a kid before I had one. So even though I'm now trained in CPR, I don't think you want to collapse around me. I get my crisis relief skills from my mom, which if you know her, aren't that great!

We found out that the baby furniture is being delivered on Wednesday!! So I'm putting Ryan to work this weekend to clear out the second bedroom. I can't wait to have it all set up and ready to go. I'm sure I'll be spending a lot of time in the nursery once it's ready. Look for pics next week!

Bailey's 2nd Birthday

It was Bailey's 2nd birthday yesterday, and probably the last one that will be celebrated since the baby will be coming soon, so we got her a special birthday dress and cake! She was in HEAVEN! Here are some pics of her enjoying her peanut butter cake...

We took the cake away so she's throwing a temper tantrum in the right picture. We are going to have our hands full in a couple of months!
